Read stock by item and location
A stock list is useful when it identifies both the item and its warehouse or store. A company-wide quantity alone cannot tell an operator where the goods are located.
Review receipts, dispatches, returns and transfers for the selected item and period. Each movement should have a source document explaining the change.
Follow a fictional stock movement
Example: Demo Warehouse receives 10 boxes, dispatches 3 and transfers 2 to Demo Store. Its remaining physical stock is 5 boxes; the store receives 2. A transfer changes location, not the combined quantity across those two locations.
These are fictional quantities, not AMB customer records. Compare a selected movement with its receipt, dispatch or transfer document and check the date, unit and location.
Review inventory in AMB
The inventory module connects items, locations and material documents. During a presentation, review a stock list and the movement history that explains a selected quantity.
